I usually freak out, panic, stay awake all night, and then finally 
decide that I may as well use the down time to learn new programming 
languages. As soon as I do, work arrives without fail to interrupt the 
learning.  YMMV.  Have you looked at Guru.com?  A LOT of the projects 
are "We want the earth, the moon, the sun, and all the stars.  We want 
it by Thursday, and we DON'T expect to pay more than $49.95".  However, 
there are a few reasonable projects as well, and since they come 
straight into your mailbox, it can't hurt to check it out.  Good luck,
