update (and insert delete) is very flexible, I haven't looked at all the options available (there are the usual setprop options plus some code 'hooks') because in most cases it works out of the box. One tip - unless you are scrupulously careful the builder can trip you up by undoing some of your on-the-fly changes. I tend to use it for initial setup of the de then hack the pems by hand and not call the builder again.
