Thanks for the help, I have my programs patched so that is not the problem. This problem only started when the client got 3 new computers with dual processors.
The fix is to patch the NTVDM.EXE file to use only ONE of the two processors. I was having the problem of the patched file not sticking in the \windows\system32 folder. Ken Watson sent me a program that gave me the clue to get it to stick. I had to update the c:\i386\ntvdm.exe file first then update the \windows\system32 Looks like it is working and when I check the talks manager for the ntvdm process, the affinity is set to one processor only. I hope this solves to lock up problems.
