Don't know about numbers, but linux desktop has had amazing improvements. I prefer it to Ws. BTW I use Ws at work, at home have a dual boot (Ws/Knoppix(Debian)). If I could use Ws apps in a Linux box (as the author suggests will happen) then I'd go Linux all the way (not talking about VM's just use an app IN the system).
