John,

We have NOT had the trials of Job. Things have been pretty rough, but they
are survivable.

Not everyone can say that. The news is full of much worse stuff.

We even had health insurance all summer so Steve got a hip replacement and
another heart operation. They attempted to clear his blocked artery and were
unsuccessful, but at the same time determined he did NOT have pulmonary
hypertension as symptoms seemed to indicate. What a relief! People die fast
from that.

It has not all been bad. We still had $200 on our sailing club membership
that had to be used or it would expire tomorrow. So we are taking out a
Hunter 35' sailboat with Steve's two sons and their kids tomorrow with our
last few bucks in the membership. We're just going to sail around San Diego
a bit and not go too far, but it will be fun nonetheless. And I have a
broadband modem that works all along the coastline so I might even see how
that works... Just in case someone calls or emails with a question.

And we still live on our 20 acres with 10 Siberian Huskies and loads of
ancient oak trees.

Life is not all bad.

Kristyne
