Look at http://www.freshsoftware.com/xns/pro/ it is very good at this. I
don't know about controlling from VFP though. You can even blacklist ip
addresses with this tool and see what ports are being opened,etc. I use it
on my servers.

I want to monitor TCP traffic between a browser and a  web interfaced
browser.  I intend to develop a way to control the router from Foxpro code
and have almost no experience with HTTP.
 
I worked with Ethereal a number of years ago and believe it could do the job
but thought there might be someone on the list who can recommend another
product easier to use for this specific application.  Ideally it should be
able to run on the same machine as the browser and be low cost.  Any input?
