I wouldn't be so sure about uTorrent being free forever.  Sometime 
developers place a fish hook hidden inside the freeware bait, and the 
hook is timed to be set at the right moment.  Once the hook is set the 
user is locked into the product and pays the tax.

Open Source Software has a license up front that spell everything out.
