You mentioned earlier "point of sale software". Is this a Touch Screen
application? Could it be a bad driver for the input device that is causing
cascading failures?

It seems to require a system reboot.  When I tried to just restart the
application I was able to immediately replicate bug without going through
several transactions without it.
