Yup, as I said, it only works (parenthetical stuff) in IE. It's because I 
created it many years ago, using some javascript I copied without really 
understanding it well, and which I don't know how to update. At one time it 
worked in Netscape 4.x in Windows. I created it as an exercise in learning 
how to preload audio, and never did anything with it after that. I just 
passed it along because it was apropos to my exchange with Paul.

Please, feel free to view source and suggest improvements. Or if you just 
want to hear the sounds, you can probably just navigate to the wave files 
and download them:
