I've got a VFP9 app that uses a MySQL5 database from the web. My user apparently likes to leave the app on all day long, and as such, he'll have long periods of inactivity that seems to cause a "timeout" kind of issue where he loses connection to the database.
My first thought was to put a simple timer in place that did a query like "SELECT @@VERSION" or something else non-intensive, just to keep the connection from going away. Ideas other than this? tia! --Michael _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[EMAIL PROTECTED] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
