Hi This one's eluding me at the moment - can any creative minds help?
I have a log table where timestamped transactions are recorded. Typically they occur every 3 - 5 minutes (never less than every 2 minutes) and there is sequence of 4 or 5 spanning typically 4 - 10 seconds like this: 05/10/07 12:49:54 05/10/07 12:49:56 05/10/07 12:49:59 05/10/07 12:50:00 I need a neat SQL select (assuming an SQL selct can do it?) that will group each 'burst' of transactions and give me, for each group, the start time and elapsed seconds. So for example the result for the above would be Start: 05/10/07 12:49:54 Duration: 6 secs Any takers? -- Cheers ============ Brian Abbott ============ _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[EMAIL PROTECTED] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
