Right, it has nothing to do with VFP 9 application centric features, it has to 
do with the
enhancements of the DBC past the functionality of the DBC in VFP 6. One 
example: DBC Events. Another
would be the new data types like Varchar. Another would be the new binary index 
format.

If the free tables work with the VFP ODBC driver today they will work with it 
tomorrow as long as
you don't try the new binary indexes or a new data type.
