To answer the original query, before I hijacked the thread, I use a system tray DLL (not the vfp systray class, obviously -- bbsystray) as a message indicator and menu for my Medical charting software. The software supports instant messaging, and priorities. If you have no messages, it's absent. If you get a normal message, it changes to green, a higher priority messages turns it yellow, and an urgent message turns it red. You can click the icon and select and ready your messages, as well. It works well, especially considering the ridiculously cheap price, ($8), but the tooltips don't always line up quite right, and it doesn't support sub-menus. Can't wait to play with this and rewrite my app to use the systray class instead. _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[EMAIL PROTECTED] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
