        I've explained this before, but for those who are new or not paying  
attention...

        I use a series of email header checks that filter out common phrases  
found in spam subjects. Occasionally they catch a false positive, but  
they catch hundreds of spam messages a day.

        Some of the subjects filter on the word 'ED', since it has been co- 
opted by the drug companies as the shorthand for Erectile  
Dysfunction. Since I get a lot of legitimate mail with my name in the  
subject, I've had to manually comment those out.
