Cron has been ported to Windows. "pycron is a cron service written in Python converted to an executable with py2exe. It's a successor to cron with a couple of changes and extensions:" http://www.kalab.com/freeware/pycron/pycron.htm I highly recommend it. I've been using it for months, to start a VFP app - which, by coincidence, writes & runs python scripts! - and it's been rock solid.
