Hi all
I tested this by doing an actual printout and found that the length of
the printed string (in inches) was equal to the result below (in pixels)
divided by 96 (as near as dammit).
I don't really know why this should be (I do know that 96DPI is the
deafult setiing in screen properties) and it has nothing to do with
printer resolution (e.g. 300/600/1200 DPI).
I suspect that 96 is in fact a (resolution-independent) value for PPI
pixels-per-inch).
Any comments, anybody ?
