Hi All, Been a while since I posted but I've bought a new laptop with a fingerprint scanner and this though occurred to me:- What is to stop someone (Law Enforcement or Criminals) lifting my fingerprint from my laptop and creating a rubber (synthetic) copy of my fingerprint that they can overlay on to their finger? Is this possible or is it science-fiction? If it isn't science fiction then the whole world of biometric security based on fingerprints is floored and shouldn't be trusted. Robert
