There's a lot of our way of thinking in Dabo, certainly. But let me just 
assure you that we don't really force you to agree with us. You could 
certainly define your own bizobj class, for instance, and while that 
would be much more difficult than subclassing ours, it would be possible.

Dabo provides a higher-level wrapper around wxPython, but using Dabo's 
UI layer doesn't mean you can't descend down into the wxPython level if 
you find that Dabo doesn't do everything you need.

Also, Dabo is all open source so when something seems strange, you can 
look at our code to figure it out.

In a sentence, if you are going to learn Python and wxPython anyway, you 
may as well start with Dabo. It is more difficult to convert a 
half-built wxPython app to Dabo than it is to convert a half-built Dabo 
app to wxPython.
