Maybe you can modify the registry key :-
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\
Environment]

Which will achieve this for you.

        OK, thanks to all. I thought that it was more difficult than

modifying the path.

        Next question: how can I do that programmatically? IOW, I want

give the user the option of adding the "c:\Program Files\Some  
Directory\Some Other Directory" to the path. If they say yes, how can  
I do that in a batch file?
