Try this argument.  The immediate and short term capital loss from the
9/11 attack has been estimated to be 27B, so, based on that figure there
is no possible ROI from a business standpoint on investing 1.6 trillion.
It is simply cheaper to let them (terrorists) to blow a few us away from
time-to-time.  Right?

Holy cow...how better off could this country be if we were able to 
instead invest that money internally?  Yeah, I know...you can't let the 
terrorists develop and exterminating them on their own turf is better 
than fighting them here....or at least that's the line we were sold.  
You libs---you can't deny it's better to fight them on the offensive 
rather than us on the defensive, can you?
