Hi Michael!

I am about to express an outrageously liberal statement: "Un-fireables" are as
human as anyone else. The world today has too much insecurity and this is a
problem that government attempts to address with the civil service system.
There is work that the government has to do and they quite reasonably try to
get some employment for people while getting the work done. No sense in the
government workers being galley slaves to be whipped to death on a whim.

Sure, half of the teachers are mere baby sitters, but baby sitting has some
value and utility. Yes, a lot of nurses and med techs would be better adept
to being employed as commercial "companions" but the "good" women of the
community don't want any professional competition and certainly don't want
their husbands to have a plan b whenever they go on a domestic "do-it-my-
way-or-sleep-on-the-sofa" jihad.

Everyone has to have some kind of a job and a secure income. Also, a lot of
the "un-fireable" is not really what it seems. They can be fired with the
proper procedure but their bosses have to build a file on them to do that,
way too much work for a lazy boss.

The ebay posting might have been a hoax, by the way.
