Yes. I got bitten by one of these sites while looking for some help on 
solving an error message from Windows. When I clicked on the link from 
Google all of a sudden I got a virus scanning offer page that was a full 
screen shot with pretty pictures, et all. It took over my PC and installed 
some Trojans. I pulled the Ethernet cable and went through my usual suite of 
security techniques. After a couple of hours I was able to get all the 
malware off my PC.

It is bad when clicking on links out of Google since you bypass your 
security software doing so and allow anything coming in.
