Same thing happened to me. I followed a series of steps including running 
Spybot and Adaware and Hijack This. I finally got enough of the viruses off 
my PC so I could use IE then was able to remove the last virus.

There are several web sites that issue standard malware removal steps and 
then will help you if the steps fail.
