Just a related thought: setup a Products folder with a sub-folder to
store a copy of each installed product and the product's
maintenance/add-ons, then reinstalling the product + other stuff can
usually be done from this folder. Any special installation/maintenance
notes can be kept in a readme.txt in that folder.
