I found that health care cost go down big time when you take that FTE. I am
paying <100 per bi-week paycheck for full family coverage. Our company says
that they pay 90% and we only have to pick up 10%. that is health, dental
and eye for that fee. When I was a consultant with a few diff agencies they
wanted 1400/month back in 2004 and it went up every year.

It's fun to have to take vacation and get paid in the bank as your away. I
have to burn 3 days this month that don't carry over to 2008.

Here at this company they keep coming up with better titles and more $ for
them as well. I am gong to throw my hat in the ring for a "Tech Mgr (
Manufacturing Automation and Workflow Sys Dev)" So there could be upward
mobility over the near term as well.

I know a lot of people that all liked San Antonio as a city and a place to
live. It's not Austin but it's pretty close.
