My Strat is a 1959 Strat, I too, play it like it is just a regular guitar, but it does have a pretty high collector's value. I also own a 1969 25 fret Fender Mustang which was basically worth nothing until that Seattle kid (who blew his brains out with a shotgun) made Mustangs popular -- can't remember his name except he was a early grunge rocker.

And Here's me just dragging it around from gig to gig (not that I do many these days). The trouble is that now I know how valuable it is I'll be over protective and worry unduly.
