put together a demo of my system, and cant give you an answer yet. Will come

I actually downloaded Camtasia Studio earlier when Malcolm sent the
 link
but didn't think about using it until I saw your e-mail this morning.
  I
took a look at it in more depth and it looks like it might be a great
choice for the next one I put together.  

Do you know if the free version (3.0) can deal with fade in/out on the
audio?  Those options are disabled when I try to use them.  I know it
can be done with other audio editors, but if the whole process were
built into a single tool, I might even be able to teach my
"non-technical" wife how to build a slideshow herself!
