KiloFox does have a forms manager class Michael (thanks for the plug, check is 
in the mail <s>). 

Sounds like Kevin is working with some legacy code that does not deploy one 
like his other apps, and
he is in a bind to get something out the door. Tinkering with the forms 
management just before
shipping during the holidays sounds like a mess I would rather avoid too.
