The PDF file at the link below I did on OpenOffice Impress. I haven't 
used Powerpoint in years but Impress seemed similar i.e. same thing only 
different.

Pretty easy to use, just a bit 'quirky' if you are used to doing things 
the MS way... I just started winging it and managed to muddle thru it...
