Craig Boyd and Alan Stevens showed the very beginning of VFP Studio at Southwest Fox 2007 during the keynote. If you listen to Ken Levy's interview on .NET Rocks pointed to by Stephen in the other thread you will probably get a sense of what they are thinking. I think this was in complete flux back in October and I have not talked directly with Craig since the conference. So I don't know where this stands other than the countdown. It has to do with integrating VFP and the .NET extensibility that Ken is in charge of at Microsoft.
