Ailsom, Personally I'd choose XP, as many of the other people on the list would I guess. The deciding factor, I suppose, is if you have to support your software on Vista and hence test it out on the platform.
Vista needs 2Gb to run at a sensible speed anyway and with the underlying Linux O/S taking a fair percentage of this memory the performance may well be "average". I have both Vista and XP on VMWare hosted by Ubuntu 7.1 and the XP system is definitely faster by about 20%-30% Dave Crozier -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Ailsom F. Foxers, As I Said at the my last message I would like to install Windows in a Linux Installed computer. I will try any dual boot software. But I have another question: What do you suggest ? Windows XP Home Edition or Windows Vista Home Basic ? It´s a home computer (Intel Core 2 Duo (2.2GHZ) 64 bits LGA 775, 250 Gb Hd, 2 Gb RAM), and it must run Visual Foxpro 9. -- Aílsom F.
