Yes, sorry that's probably an Americanism from one too many inventory modules for ERP systems. BOM == Bill of Materials. The list of parts were "Intel Core Duo E6300, floppy drive, 2 Gb RAM, XD DISABLE BIT WXPSP2 SET TO 0" and so forth. Thanks for the Google-FU, William, I thought it was the NX instruction, too, but thought they only messed with that in Windows MissedYa, not in XP. Guess they're making their decisions backwards compatible. It's a fulltime job keeping up with their stuff! So the "Execute Disable" bit is set to zero, that disables the disablement so that means... kinda like SET DELETED. I have to think it through each time. Backwards compatible for running off the stack and self-modifying code. Got it.
