I would have to provide too much background on medical metrics, how they are formulated, disputed and engineered to explain why I found the post humorous.
For the last 13 years I have been privy to many medical metrical battles that address many different phases of the medical continuum. If you are interested here is how I really feel about US Healthcare: 1. The pharmaceutical industry is a bunch of crooks... 2. The Bio_Medical Equipment industry is a bunch of crooks... 3. The Medical IT industry (for specialized Medical IT processes, i.e., case mgt S/W) is rift with a bunch of crooks... (excluding some of my fox brethren) 4. Maybe, 25% of the MDs really give a damn... 5. About 50% of the RNs really give a damn... 6. The Insurance industry and managed care has pretty much ruined healthcare. 7. 75% of the MDs are overpaid for what they actually do... That about covers it and the above does not represent any of the opinions of the MHS of AFMS -- just my own personal observations. v/r //SIGNED// Stephen S.
