It can include external components, and usually does.

Yes it is possible.

You can choose to only distribute optimized python byte code, which will 
be tougher to decompile but still possible. Comments will not be there.

My app is less than a meg. The rest is Python, wxPython, MySQL, 
reportlab, sqlite, dabo, and a whole host of other dependencies.
