Eurico, I and many others have broached the "write caching" on server 2K3, which needs to be disabled on the server or it can cause the problems you are experiencing.

How can I communicate to my client that the 40 some open files he sees are ok and are not clogging the network ? 2. In an update method I have a table, buffer=5, that uses a TABLEUPDATE(0,.T.) it works ok, but. When there is a problem in the network and the connection is lost, a record gets written with zeros, why and how can I avoid this ? 3. Is there anything else I should know about using VFP7.1 and WinServer 2003 ? 4. Will an update to VFP9.2() be of any help ? TIA, E. No virus found in this outgoing message.
