It's called sarcasm, Ricardo. Under Carter we had something called
stagflation... which was a stagnant economy combined with inflation... and we
had a misery index. We had block long lines at gas stations and could only get
gas every other day.
He was a nice man with a friendly smile, but was surrounded by incompetents who
came up with on unworkable idea after another. But, as the saying goes, we had
to go through Carter to get to Reagan, and it was worth it!
