Hi Dave! It might BE true. I remember my old major in the Air Force once told my whole outfit that the best plane he ever flew was the "Gooney Bird", C-47 - the military version of the DC-3. He took us up a number of times, it was a nice ride. It looks like production stopped in 1945, my experience with it was sometime in 1964 or 1965. The old C-47 was the basis of "Puff the Magic Dragon" in Vietnam. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/C-47_Skytrain http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Douglas_DC-3 -- Regards, Pete http://www.pete-theisen.com/ _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[EMAIL PROTECTED] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
