Then something is disabling the EDIT menu prior to the window opening. (a
modal dialog would do this)
There is the "Data Explorer" Rick Schumer put together in VFPx that has some
code that will use BindEvent to keep a window open. If you need to go to
that much complexity. However, I'm pretty sure you are having a problem with
a disabled menu.

With the nowait statement, it immediately pops up the messagebox and you
