I did research him, and did find him wanting. My question was to see if your
barbs at me about how closed-minded I am are because you don't have anything
but enthusiasm to go on or because you have real data that I haven't seen.

So far, you are making empty protests and not providing reasons for your
support of Obama that I would find solid and convincing.

Getting health care through Congress is going to require a lot of hard work
and deal-making. Getting a good plan for Iraq going forward is going to
require the same. Improving our standing around the world is going to
require ties that Obama does not have, and which Hillary has by virtue of
personally traveling to 80 countries to create those ties and improve
conditions in other countries. Obama has no such international connections.

The Clintons -- both of them -- have created a lot of good will over their
many years in public service. That good will carried Bill Clinton through
impeachment, and Hillary through massive derision she never deserved.
Hillary is not actually a polarizing figure. It was only the right wing that
demonized her, and the Republicans she has actually been working with can
attest that she most definitely builds bridges across party lines.

I hate to see folks buy into the idea that Hillary is any less respected
than Obama. He is less hated because he is less known. Nothing else. You
ain't seen nothing yet when it comes to right wing attacks. So far they're
complaining about people using his middle name. Wait until the big guns come
out. The fear card will get a lot of play against Obama.

It is my opinion that the best way for Obama to overcome his very real
shortcomings on foreign policy and deal-making ability would be to put
Hillary on the ticket. A VP with those ties can add a lot to a ticket. I
want her to continue to pull in delegates so that she is better positioned
to change Obama's health care policy and add gravitas. We'll see what
happens. She'd still be useful in the senate but would be a lot more useful
back in the white house.

Kristyne
