That's the supposition by some anthropologists. There's a pocket of blue-eyed blondes who seemed to emerge around the last ice age, so it seems like a plausible idea. I'm a blue-eyed blonde and my ancestry is all northern European. Ditto with my husband. Most of the world is brown-skinned, brown haired, and brown-eyed, so it seems to me like we are the exception.
