I need to buy six notebooks, they need to be somewhat rugged, because they
could/will be used in the field. We've been using Dell Latitudes and I'm
inclined to continue to use them. But I'd like to hear any recommendations.
I hear Thinkpads would be a good alternative. HPs and Acer seem fragile to
me. Has anyone being using Dell Vostros?

Info:

2GB-4GB Ram/ 120GB HD
They need to be somewhat rugged because they'll be carried around a lot
No need for multimedia trinkets
Reasonable video graphics performance
Office apps and some geology/mining apps (including some light weight 3D
work)
Not entry level prices, but not top of the line either

Thank you,

HW
