1) XMLtoCursor will NOT handle nested tables 2) I don't have a any examples working with the XMLAdapter. I've have always resorted to fopen()/fclose() tactics.
3) Python has a module: BeautifulSoup at http://www.crummy.com/software/BeautifulSoup/ that might help.
