Garry,
The groups on the status bar are defined by the application not by the
window title. If you load up the application enough times to fill up the
status bar then eventually Windows will group the same applications together
in one group. However I don't know how to force this to happen apart from
when Windblows thinks it has had enough and run out of display space.

Subject: [NF] Task Bar Grouping

Howdy all,

Roll on the weekend...

I have a an VFP application that is copied and executed throughout the day.

They run for ~40 mins and then close. They appear in the Task Bar as
separate
entries, even though they are all myapp.exe running - this is because my
form
caption changes for each instance.

i.e. At the moment, my Task Bar has 3 of my apps running:

1) "MyApp 2008-03-19 1410 Chep 2m Nov Hrd"
2) "MyApp 2008-03-19 1420 Mrktr 2m1f Hcap Hrd"
3) "MyApp 2008-03-19 1430 Ling 1m2f Sell Stks"

Is there anyway that I can group user-defined apps on the Task Bar? I
just want
one group, with all 3 "MyApp ..." processes.

Does a such a PowerTool exist?

Cheers,

Garry
