Sadly, our soldiers have always been tortured and raped when caught by the
enemy.  Our high moral ground (which I agree we should strive to maintain)
has not protected our soldier.  During Desert Storm in 1991 it occurred to
American captives and it has occurred in Iraq during this war.  The
publicity over Abu Ghraib has only made it worse, not caused it.
