Unfortunately, the only filtering available to me is the voluntary
labeling of messages by adding [OT] to the subject. There is no way
that I could possibly review individual messages and manually filter
them.
The Tech version of the list isn't VFP-only; most of us also want to
hear about computer and technology issues as well. That's what the
[NF] flag indicates: non-Fox content that is still technical in nature.
This system relies on people acting responsibly, and most people do
so. However, a small number of people seem to feel that they do not
need to abide by community standards, and consistently abuse the trust
the community places in each other.
I'm going to start a tally of such abuses. Everyone slips up once in
a while; that's understandable. But a pattern of abuse is another
matter. When such a pattern is noted, their address will be added to a
list of posters whose posts will be held for review before going out
to the ProFoxTech list. This will mean that there could be a delay of
several hours before I can get around to reviewing these held messages.
