I think the whole point of what Ed is doing is that where the boundary lies
will depend on the concensus among people in the list.  I can't imagine that
the sort of stuff you're describing would cause anyone to 'flag' you - OTOH
someone who persistently introduces, say, political invective, is highly
likely to get flagged.
