Working for the Army and watching the results of
research grants they provide for colleges and
universities, I can tell you it's all about the money.

Colleges pay their graduate students, their
professors,  and their overhead with research grants. 
What we've seen is that it doesn't matter if they
believe in the validity of the research or not, just
as long as they are grinding out research and papers.

Colleges are making millions off of global warming
research and they're not going to admit they're wrong.
 They'll need more research money to figure just to be
sure.

It's curious that the more funding is put in place for
research, the more research they need.

It's all a money game.
