[Scenario]
Standard User (No administrative privelages) is attempting to install an
application to their PalmOS device. RDKInst is a program that runs that will
link a Conduit to the HotSync manager and set files to install at the next
HotSync.

Run RDKInst as usual, it request Administrative privileges. The
Administrative user comes over, gives a password, walks away. User finishes
install, selects proper user, and promptly gets an error.

Why...

[Reason]
Vista has changed user context. The Administrative user HKCU is different
than the logged in users HKCU. Meaning the HKCU\Software\U.S. Robotics\Pilot
Desktop\Core\Path is now pointing at the Administrative users path (Palm
Desktop v6.x - C:\Users\Admin\Documents\Palm Desktop\) instead of the users
(C:\Users\Standard\Documents\Palm Desktop\)

So, what are ways to work around this problem?

Currently, I can only think of the Standard user will need to be made a
local administrative user until the install of this is complete.

Anybody have other ideas?

Thanks

Tracy
