You would probably need a video card something like the one at the end of the link at the bottom, , or some motherboards have these same features built in. HDCP Capable
You would need to decide whether you're going to play your sound off the HDTV/monitor or off the sound built into the motherboard or a sound card connected in the motherboard. You would probably want both HDMI and DVI connectors. HDMI carries everything over one cable including the sound/sound sound that is played by the HDTV/monitor or a multimedia center integrited with the HDTV/monitor. If your sound entertainment center plays off an expensive sound card plug into the motherboard, then all you need is a DVI connection to carry the digital video signal to the HDTV/monitor, otherwise it would be better to connect the HDTV/monitor and computer using HDMI which carries both audio and visual over a single cable. If you want to be able to switch your input source between over the air HDTV via antenna or DVI/HDMI source coming off the computer, then be sure and get an HDTV monitor with a good tuner. The quality of the tuner has alot to do with how will the resolutions are scaled. The tuner is not needed if your TV input source is cable or DishTV where the analog signal is converted to digital at the source. Here are the various resolutions for HDTV: http://www.cnet.com/4520-7874_1-5137915-1.html Since the battle over HDTV versus Blu-ray has been settled with Blu-ray winning out, video cards are finally becoming HDCP compliant.
