Same here, re: these certain attachments being stripped (usually .exe, .com,
anything relating to MS Office due to macro virus issues).  The .zip files
do not get stripped, which is useful as I often create self-extacting .exe
files for encrypted .Zip files.  If I try to attach the self-extracting .exe
file(s), the attachment(s) get stripped.  So I simply re-Zip the .exe file,
attach it, and away it goes.  The client Unzips the  .zip, gets the
self-extracting and encrypted .exe file, executes it with the proper
passphrase, and voila!  They have their payload.

Of course, whenever it is practical to do so I use my ftp Server.  Still,
anything that has sensitive data is Zipped and Encrypted as ftp is still a
clear text transport method.
